In a Space Far Far Away

Steven’s Star Wars & Gaming Room

At age five, I sat down in the theater with my family to watch Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. To say I was enthralled by the story is a vast understatement. If you told me back then that I would have an entire room dedicated to my love of Star Wars, I might have believed you.

Soon after, I expanded past just the movies and began looking for Star Wars content wherever I could find it. I was relieved to discover the plethora of options at the time: hundreds of novels, video games, comic books, LEGO sets, game guide books, action figures and more.

During my younger more formative years, I was introduced to the world of gaming. My parents would share stories of how they loved the feeling of discovery in Super Metroid, the satisfaction after completing a Super Mario Land level or the frustration of being stuck in Earthworm Jim. I latched onto these memories that would eventually become the driving force behind my love for gaming, the lore behind it, and my ever-growing collection.

When we purchased our home in 2019, I had hopes to create a space of my own that was fully dedicated to my love of Star Wars and gaming. I knew I wanted a space that was a reflection of me… a place where I could go to relax with a drink, play a game, read a book, or just simply admire the carefully curated pieces that make up my special space.

Some of my favorite pieces include the 1977 Kenner complete Star Wars action figure set and the Star Wars Republic Commando game and book series. As of now, I have around 300 games across 10 gaming consoles, my PC and 2 hand held gaming devices. My Star Wars collection has grown exponentially since childhood and each piece holds meaning.

Many of these older Star Wars pieces belonged to my mother when she was a little girl. I am so grateful for her care and consideration to preserve a piece of Star Wars history that would continue to bring joy to myself and others who have had the opportunity to visit this space. It is at the very least a great conversation starter!

I’m a licensed real estate professional hanged with Long Realty Referral Associates in Arizona. I received my license in 2020 and was an active REALTOR® in Phoenix my first year. I moved to Michigan in 2021 and changed my designation from sales agent to referral agent which now allows me to serve people in any state in the USA and 70 other countries!

Meanwhile, for nearly a decade, I’ve worked in the Mortgage industry opening and closing mortgage loans. I have an in-depth understanding of the homebuying process from start to finish, so I know the value that great Realtors bring to the experience for homebuyers and investors. Especially first-time homebuyers.

My love of real estate began back in 2008 in Marketing where I was the coordinator of a magazine called Properties of the Southwest. I worked with high caliber Realtors creating their marketing materials and showcasing their clients’ properties in many prestigious magazines and The Wall Street Journal. Serving them gave me great insight into what makes top notch listing agents for clients selling properties.
